【摘要】:Duringconstructionofahome,paintsaresubjectedtoawidevarietyofdryingconditions,andthismayexhibitdifferencesbetweentheoriginalcoatandthetouched-upareainappearanceafteritsfullcure.Therefore,ititessentialforthepainttobeabletoperformunderawidevarietyofdryingconditions.Apaintthatdoesthisisveryadvantageoustothecontractor.Itispossibleforapainttohaveexcellentcolortouch-up,butpoorsheentouch-up,orvice-versa.Theidealpaintwillhavebothexcellentcolorandsheentouch-upundertestingconditions.Color,glossandbasechoicecanhaveamajorimpactontouch-upofthepaint.1.1Thispracticedeterminestheabilityofapainttoberecoatedorx201C;touchedupx201D;insmallareas.Variationsincolor,gloss,andsheenthatresultinadifferentappearancefromtheoriginalpaintcanbeevaluatedvisually.1.2Thispracticedescribesevaluationoftouch-upcharacteristicsinalaboratory-scalecontrolledenvironmentasopposedtoafull-scalefieldenvironment.1.3Evaluationoftouch-uppropertiesunderconstantdryingconditionsisdescribed.Environmentalconditionscanbeadjustedtoincorporatehighorlowtemperaturedrying,orboth.Thechangesinapplicationtemperaturecanleadtolargerdifferencesintouch-upthanapplyingbothcoatsunderthesameenvironmentalconditions.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
